Hourly Rate: $35.00/hr - $45.00/hr+ (Based on experience)
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Remote) - Candidates can be up to 200 miles away from the shop
Territory: PA, NJ, NY, OH, WV, VA, MD & Washington DC
Position Type: Permanent / Full-Time

Industrial Recruitment Group has partnered with a leading industrial rotating equipment service organization specializing in electric motors, pumps, controls, and field service solutions for critical industrial applications.
With decades of industry experience, this organization supports customers across manufacturing, steel, power generation, municipal, chemical, food and beverage, and other heavy industrial markets.
Their services include industrial motor and pump repair, rotating equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, precision maintenance, equipment installation, plant shutdown support, field balancing, vibration analysis, and complete field service solutions designed to minimise customer downtime.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to join their Harrisburg, PA team.
This is a highly technical field role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and servicing industrial rotating equipment including electric motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, gear reducers, and associated mechanical and electrical systems.
The successful candidate will play a key role in troubleshooting complex equipment issues, performing vibration analysis, supporting field balancing activities, completing alignment work, and providing technical solutions directly to industrial customers.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys solving challenging industrial problems, working independently in the field, and acting as a technical resource within a skilled service organization.
Strong experience with vibration analysis, condition monitoring, laser alignment, and field balancing will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex industrial rotating equipment issues involving AC/DC motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, and gear reducer
- Perform advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics to identify root causes and recommend solutions
- Complete equipment inspections, repairs, testing, and preventative maintenance activities
- Perform and support vibration analysis, condition monitoring, and rotating equipment assessments
- Support field balancing activities and precision maintenance work
- Perform alignment checks, coupling inspections, and equipment reliability assessments
- Support equipment removal, installation, startup, shutdown, and rigging activities
- Provide technical support and guidance during complex field service assignments
- Communicate directly with industrial customers and provide professional technical recommendations
- Complete detailed service reports and technical documentation Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship while working independently
Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with industrial rotating equipment, field service, or industrial maintenance applications
- Strong background with electric motors, pumps, generators, gearboxes, gear reducers, or similar equipment
- Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment reliability and maintenance principles
- Experience performing vibration analysis and interpreting vibration data
- Experience with alignment, balancing, or precision maintenance activities
- Comfortable travelling to customer sites and working independently
Preferred experience:
- Vibration Analyst Level II or Level III certification Field balancing experience
- Laser alignment experience
- Condition monitoring / predictive maintenance experience
- Industrial shutdown or turnaround project experience
- Experience within steel, manufacturing, power generation, wastewater, chemical, food and beverage, or other heavy industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to pass drug and background checks.
- A full clean driver's license.
Logistics
- Travel Requirements: Candidates should be comfortable travelling throughout the assigned territory and staying overnight when required.
- Location Requirements: Ideally located within approximately 2 hours of Harrisburg, PA.
- Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s license required.
