What They Do
This is a hybrid position offering an attractive 50/50 balance between hands-on local depot maintenance and nationwide field travel. You will perform diagnostics, root-cause evaluations, and precision rebuilds on specialized low- and high-pressure industrial machinery packages.
Key Responsibilities:
Depot & Field Support (50% Split): Perform complete package assemblies, start-ups, and overhauls within the local facility, balanced with traveling to client sites across North America to execute field services.
System Diagnostics: Inspect and troubleshoot integrated controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and PLCs on active machinery.
Customer Advisory: Function as the technical expert directly on-site with facility personnel, diagnosing operational issues and advising on preventative care.
Advanced Assemblies: Interpret General Arrangement (GA) drawings and electrical diagrams to integrate instrumentation, gauges, switches, and custom control panels.
On-Call Rotation: Participate in a balanced, phone-based troubleshooting support rotation (approximately 1 in every 4 to 6 weeks) assisting clients remotely.
Technical Profile & Requirements
Experience & Background: Ideally we are looking for3 to 5 years of direct experience servicing industrial rotating machinery, heavy-duty compression systems or specialty pump packages. Electrical/Controls: Proven competence with 480V systems, industrial electric motors, wiring, VFDs and PLC troubleshooting.
System Knowledge: Prior exposure to multi-stage machinery or high-pressure industrial packages is highly desirable (candidates from pure compressed air, pump, power generation or fluid power sectors are welcomed). Note: This position focuses strictly on mechanical/electrical package mechanisms; no industrial HVAC or air treatment experience is required.
Travel & Logistics: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across North America.
Flight-Ready: Standard travel is flight-based with port-to-port hours fully paid. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a current US Passport with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Education: High School Graduate or GED equivalent; Technical/Electrical Degree or military equivalent preferred.
